This is a report of Sister Hatune’s trip to the Middle East in February, to several places in Iraq and Turkey. First-hand account of the situation of the Yazidi community, fleeing ISIS, being scattered throughout the area and having endured many atrocities. Although Hatune managed to deliver aid, much more is needed.
This is what happens to many Christian Pakistanis, fleeing their country: Being victims of religious persecution by the hands of the Muslim majority, they travel to Thailand on a tourist visa. But once their visa expires, they are illegal immigrants. Many end up in detention centers, while others are forced into hiding. Living a life of fear, relying on aid to stay alive.
