…AND THE WAR IN SYRIA AND IRAQ CONTINUES
The suffering minorities in the Middle East need you more than ever!
Yes, I guess you sometimes get tired of these appeals. It is understandable.
Unfortunately we cannot, as a Christian organization, turn our back to the escalation of suffering of the poorest people. They are forced to live in tents in Turkey or Jordan, or even in hiding inside the mostly depraved North Iraq and Syria!
The European governments have turned their backs to the victims stuck in the neighboring regions, not far away from where the Islamic State radicals rule! Instead, the European leaders use their aid funds to finance the escalating migration of mainly young and strong Muslim men (80%) from the Middle East and Africa. Sweden today is an excellent example of this devastating redistribution of the aid budgets in Western Europe. Read more…
The refugees, mainly Christians and Yazidis, cannot afford to pay a trafficking smuggler 5-15.000 US dollars, to bring them from Turkey to Europe. Or they do not want to leave their families, leave their wives and children to their own destiny. They are stuck in the camps, where the UNHCR no longer can provide adequate help!
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO HELP THESE POOR PEOPLE!
The refugees in the camps outside the UNHCR control are entirely depending on private NGO’s and their donors. On December eighth, Sister Hatune will travel again to Northern Iraq, for two weeks to deliver food, clothes, blankets and monetary help to the most needy!
Pleas contribute here to make this aid tour a success! http://hatunefoundation.com/international/survival-project-winter-2015/
GERMANY IS OUTSTANDING WHEN IT COMES TO HELP THE WOMEN
Early during the war in Syria and Iraq, the government of the regional state of Baden-Württemberg started a project for the benefice of rescued women, that were previously sex slaves of the Islamic State. Germany is outstanding in this matter. No other country facilitates this kind of help. The medical leader of the project in Iraq and Germany, Dr. Kizilhan, wants to raise awareness about the fact, that no other nation has offered to take these women in, like Germany has done.
“There is a big need for help to these victims, because there is no money for education of more local therapists in Iraq and Syria,” the doctor says.
THE DEVELOPMENT IN WARBURG
The convent in Warburg has got some growth. Last week, three young women, age between 25 and 37, arrived in Warburg. They originally come from Syria, from the cities Hama, Aleppo and Qamishli. During the last six months, they lived in Lebanon, waiting for their immigration permits to Germany. With the help of the conservative politician Ute Granold, it happened. They will live and work as so called Sisters in the service of Christ in the convent.
Some weeks ago already, two refugees arrived in Warburg. A 23 year old Christian from Egypt and a 30 year old Yazidi from Iraq. Both of them will later live in one of the new acquired houses in Warburg, that are under renovation right now, to become refugee homes.

ESCAPE FROM ISIS – The Documentary
Surely, many of you have seen the highly praised film “ESCAPE FROM ISIS”. A Channel 4, UK documentary released in July (Frontline, PBS in the USA), directed by Edward Watts.
The film was originally initiated by the international director of Hatune Foundation, Hans Erling Jensen. During February 2015, Sister Hatune and her co-worker Professor Dr. Rainer Rothfuß went with the filmmaker to Iraq and presented him to the network in Erbil and Dohuk. During 10 days, Sister Hatune and her team worked with the filmmaker.
In July, when the film was published, Sister Hatune and the Foundation did not appear in the film, not even in the credits.
The film director Edward Watts did not like the truth that Sister Hatune spoke.
This behaviour caused more suffering for many of the captured women: it was prolonged unnecessarily!
You can read a comprehensive report about this betrayal here:
SO RIGHT TO THE POINT:
WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT TO BE ABLE TO DO OUR WORK
Sister Hatune’s Christmas will be celebrated in Iraq, together with the many needy refugees. The blanket campaign – Survival Project 2015 – needs your support.
Later at the 28th of December, Hatune will travel to India to work there for four weeks. During this period we will receive more refugees in Warburg, and therefore we have prioritized renovating our houses in Warburg along with our ongoing efforts to help the women, victimized by the IS catastrophe.
Christmas is ahead of us. We will not forget all our brothers and sisters struggling in dire circumstances.
God bless You all out there!
